Miniature Bull Terrier Club (New Zealand)
Welcome!
The Miniature Bull Terrier Club was formed in 2005 to bring together breed enthusiasts. The club endeavours to re-establish this breed in New Zealand. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the breed. Please see links at the bottom of the page for a downloadable membership form.
Miniatures flourished in the early 80's and early 90's with a number of kennels, most notably Julie Clarke's "Lester" kennels, producing many litters. In 1996, health issues and a decline in imports saw the last litters born. In 2006, two recently imported bitches whelped a total of six puppies, the first in 10 years. In 2008, the first interbred litter was whelped. These dogs, and their dams, now form the new wave of minis.
